Luke Henry was created to carry forward something much bigger than a jewellery business — a legacy rooted in North Berwick, at 72 High Street.
For over 70 years, that address has been home to fine jewellery, watches and clocks. What began in 1950 with Thomas Whitelaw was continued by Maureen Whyte, and later by my father, Henry, who served the community here for three decades.
Growing up in North Berwick, I saw first-hand what this shop meant to people — not just a place to buy jewellery, but somewhere tied to life’s most meaningful moments.
I always knew I wanted to return and continue that story.
Today, Luke Henry brings together fine jewellery, antique and vintage pieces, and contemporary Scottish design — carefully chosen to feel distinctive, lasting, and personal.
Where possible, we work with Scottish makers and designers, including collections inspired by the landscapes and craftsmanship of the Hebrides and Shetland, alongside locally made pieces from East Lothian artisans. Every piece is selected with the same principle: it should feel special the moment you see it — and still feel special years later.
We believe jewellery should never feel ordinary.
